Amazon no longer offers FBA prep. Here's what that means for your inbound.
Starting January 1, 2026, Amazon stopped offering prep and item labeling services for FBA shipments in the US marketplace. Every unit now has to arrive at Amazon already prepped and labeled. That covers inventory sent straight into FBA and inventory that reaches FBA through AWD.
The work didn't disappear. It moved. Every US seller now chooses between running prep in-house and handing it to a prep partner. Amazon's own notice names third-party service providers as one of the two options.
The stakes went up with it. Shipments created after January 1, 2026 that arrive without proper prep and item labeling aren't eligible for reimbursement if units are damaged or untraceable. POD drops into your portal
2 weeks after the shipment is received a POD will be accessible so you can file for any reimbursements at Amazon.

Prep is priced per unit. Consolidation and shipping are priced per pallet. Your rate depends on unit volume, product mix, and the prep each ASIN needs, so we scope before we quote.
