Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers. No runaround.

The questions $10M+ sellers ask before their first truck. If something's not here, email [email protected], you'll hear back within 24 hours.

Onboarding & Commitments

Our biggest advantage over a traditional 3PL is cost savings and speed. We consolidate your freight into full truckloads alongside 100+ other $10M+ sellers, which eliminates inbound placement fees entirely and gets your inventory checked into Amazon in under 6 days, vs. 7–43 days going direct. We were built by former sellers, so we operate with the same urgency and compliance awareness you'd expect from your own team, not a general warehouse that happens to serve Amazon sellers.
No contracts, ever. ZonPrep runs on a pay-for-performance model, you pay for what you use, when you use it. You can leave at any time with no penalty. We earn your business every shipment.
Yes, ZonPrep maintains volume minimums. We're built for sellers doing $10M+ in annual Amazon revenue or sending at least one truckload per week. Below that threshold, the consolidation economics don't work as strongly in your favor, and we'll tell you that upfront rather than take business that isn't the right fit.
15 minutes on a call. You'll get portal access, upload your inbound ASINs, and share carrier details. That's it. Your first shipment can hit our dock within the same week if needed.
Weekly inbound volume forecast, your ASIN list, carrier preferences, and any brand-specific prep SOPs. If you have custom labeling, bundling, or insert requirements, we build those into your account profile once, and they apply automatically on every subsequent shipment.

Speed & Performance

48–72 hours on any shipment size. Most prep is completed same-day and staged for the daily consolidation run. Larger or complex kitting projects are scoped during onboarding with a committed turnaround time.
Our average is under 6 days from dock to Amazon check-in. The industry standard for direct-to-Amazon LTL is 7–43 days. The difference comes from priority Amazon Carrier Central appointments that only high-volume consolidated shippers can access.
Volume. We consolidate freight from 100+ sellers daily into full truckloads. Amazon gives priority receiving appointments to full truckload shippers, because it's more efficient for their FCs to process one FTL than fifteen LTL pallets. Your pallet rides alongside 100+ others' freight and goes in as part of a priority booking that a smaller shipper simply can't access.

Costs & Savings

Amazon charges placement fees when you ship to a single FC and they need to split your inventory across multiple destinations. By consolidating at our hub first and managing those splits internally, we absorb the logistics cost of multi-FC routing, and the placement fee never applies to your shipment. You pay one rate to ZonPrep; Amazon never sees the split.
Most sellers see 60–75% reduction in inbound shipping costs vs. their previous LTL setup. The savings come from (1) consolidating multiple LTL shipments into a blended FTL rate, (2) eliminating placement fees entirely, and (3) reducing the number of carrier relationships you manage. Exact numbers depend on your volume and origin locations, the OA tool gives you a specific estimate in minutes.
ZonPrep pricing is per-unit for prep services and per-pallet for consolidation and shipping. There are no setup fees and no surprise line items. Full pricing transparency is available after a brief scoping call, we don't quote blind because rates vary by ASIN complexity, prep type, and origin location.

Storage & Capacity

ZonPrep is a cross-dock operation, the model is built for throughput, not storage. Freight arrives, gets prepped and consolidated, and ships to Amazon, typically within 48–72 hours. Limited short-term buffer storage is available for high-volume brands with predictable weekly inbound cadences. We're not the right fit if you need long-term warehousing as a primary service.
We have the capacity to process 1 million units per day across 600,000 sq ft in Georgia. Volume has never been the constraint. For brands with unusual spikes (seasonal inventory pushes, new product launches), we ask for a forecast 2 weeks out so we can allocate dock space appropriately.

Services Offered

Amazon labeling (FNSKU, transparency, sold-as-set), kitting and bundling, shrink wrapping, poly-bagging, shipment plan creation, and visual inspection & quality checks. All prep is performed to Amazon's current compliance standards with custom SOPs per seller and ASIN.
Yes, for truckload volumes. Returns processing at pallet scale, inspection, relabeling, repackaging, and re-inbounding, is available for brands with sufficient return volume to justify the workflow. This is assessed on a case-by-case basis during onboarding.
Yes. You can use your existing carrier relationships to deliver freight to our Georgia facility. We also have preferred carrier partners with competitive rates if you'd rather consolidate vendors, but there's no requirement to use ours.
Yes, if you have high-volume labeling, kitting, or bundling that meets our truckload-level minimums, we'll prep the units in-house and release them to your carrier of choice.
Yes. We can include marketing materials, inserts, and specific configurations. Custom packaging and insert requirements are added to your brand's SOP during onboarding and applied automatically on every subsequent shipment.

Limitations

Standard-size and large-standard products are our core. Oversized items, furniture, large appliances, items over 150 lbs, are handled on a case-by-case basis depending on volume and complexity. Reach out and we'll tell you quickly whether it's a fit.
We're not a climate-controlled or refrigerated facility, so products that require temperature control aren't a fit. Hazmat is handled case-by-case: compliance depends on classification, so contact us with specifics and we'll assess.
