Every Amazon facility has a short alphanumeric code. In North America, the first three letters are typically derived from the nearest commercial airport, ABE for Allentown, ATL for Atlanta, BFI for Seattle, EWR for Newark. The number indicates which building in that market.
Amazon's inbound placement system uses these codes to route your freight across their network. When you create a shipment in Seller Central, Amazon assigns one or more FC codes, and your logistics team needs to know exactly where those are to build inbound plans, coordinate carriers, and reconcile freight invoices.
The full list covers 2,980 facilities across 24 countries with addresses, types, and operating status, from fulfillment centers and sort centers to delivery stations and IXD cross-docks.
